Y’all: it’s hot again.
I was really getting pumped about the crisp fall air and the chance to go more than two seconds without sweating. Thanks to 85+ degree predictions I’m seeing on my weather app for the next few weeks, it seems like those dreams will be pushed back to somewhere around November. Hmpf.
After last week’s New York trip I came home, unpacked + repacked my suitcase, and headed right back out to Knoxville to celebrate a friend’s wedding. It was gorgeous (and Knoxville is super cool BTW), but it sure was a good feeling to get home on Sunday. I have a hard time balancing my love for travel with my deep desire to sleep in my own bed. Help?
This week is the start of my new job, which means I’ll need outfits for this is-it-fall-or-still-summer limbo that Mother Earth is keeping me in. I have zero qualms about wearing white after Labor Day, because if it’s hot enough to break a sweat then it’s hot enough to wear white. (Can I get an amen?) This combo of grey + white may be my second favorite combo behind blue and white, as I love how crisp and cool it looks. Did you hear that weather? Crisp. Cool. Take a hint.
01 | White jeans
03 | Sandals (legit obsessed with these)
04 | Leopard clutch
IDEAS + SUCH:
Pop of print. This is really not the time for some old grody purse you pulled out from the back of your closet. (In fact, just throw that thing away.) A pop of leopard is always appropriate and never fails to make a simple outfit special.
Tie it together. My accessories are few and far between here, but I love how the tortoise of my watch adds a little something to the leopard clutch. Tortoise, leopard…I’m a vegan who loves animal print and I’m unashamed.
Tunic-length FTW. Tunics, skinny pants, and flats are a proportion combo I’ll never tire of. Classic, simple, comfortable.
