(Check out Part 1 of this post here.)
I’ve been out of town every weekend since school got out a month ago. I’ve been to family reunions, birthday weekends, and anniversary trips. It’s been hectic but fun, and I’ve been grateful for this capsule every step of the way! It’s made packing a snap, and I’ve felt like I’ve had the perfect outfits for everything from a lake party in Georgia to a long weekend in Portland. Turns out my style schizophrenia has served me well this summer.
On Thursday I’m off to Charleston for a month of yoga teacher training, and I couldn’t be more excited. If I were a city, I’d totally be Charleston: Southern and preppy with a hint of hippie. (Alright, maybe more than a hint.) My wardrobe there will be 99% leggings and yoga tops with a few capsule outfits for our days off. Chambray + white is a combo I’ll never get enough of, and it’s perfect for strolling around downtown Charleston or headed to see one of my friends at the beach. #livingthedream. If I’m wearing shorts I feel more comfortable having my arms covered, so the proportions to this outfit are perfect.
And here’s where I got a little too into the modeling thing:
Note to self: calm down.
STYLE TIPS:
Find the right fit. This chambray shirt feels like it’s spun from a cloud, but I should have gotten a medium. Not into tight shirts + tight shorts. Lesson learned! Will hopefully be selling/donating and going back for the top that’s the right fit.
Accessories make this outfit. I obviously love my Fan Sea Pants scarf (I’m wearing it as I type this post in the Pittsburgh airport), but will be rocking these tassel earrings other days.
The devil’s in the details. The scallops on these shorts keep them basic but not boring.
