I used to think white jeans were off-limits because I didn’t weigh 98 lbs and have a thigh gap. Being pear-shaped, I was always told that a-line skirts and dark pants were the way to go. I mean, how was I supposed to hide my cellulite and bodacious thighs in light colored jeans?
Turns out, life isn’t about waiting until you have the “perfect” body to enjoy yourself. I bought the white jeans and let it allll hang out, juicy thighs and all. Summer is a time for bright + white, thigh gap or no. I took the leap with this pair last summer and have basically had them in constant rotation ever since. They’ve been an amazing capsule wardrobe staple!
For this combo, There’s something about navy + white that I’ll just never get tired of, especially with a pop of gold. This top is flowy while still being flattering, and gives good balance to these very formfitting jeans. I tossed it on with a pair of shorts to run around Charleston on my day off and felt beachy but put-together.
Dress down with flats. Don’t need a wedge? Just pop on some flat gold sandals and keep the rest of the look the same.
Mix and match. This halter would pair just as well with my white shorts for a fun daytime look.
Go for the gold. There’s just something about navy + gold that I can’t get enough of. Maybe it’s because I love black, and navy is essentially the summer version, but a few simple gold accessories really do the trick here.
