Raise your hand if you’re ready for fall. (Me!) I’m in the thick of planning + purchasing my fall capsule, and it’s been so much fun. Personally, I’m ready for a day without sweating and some crisp, cool fall air. Since getting back from yoga teacher training, I’ve been decluttering like a madwoman (just ask Patrick). I’m hoping to use $$$ I make from consigning/selling old clothes to majorly fund my fall purchases. So far, so good!
Clearing out clutter just feels so right. After getting back from training, I just didn’t want to keep/dust/move anything I no longer have use for. And even in our one bedroom apartment, I had a TON of stuff I didn’t need. I cleaned out my closet, underneath our bed (that was a doozy), our linen closet, and my nightstand/dresser. I recycled notebooks that were nothing but old to-do lists, threw out expired makeup, and donated most of my teaching clothes. Y’all, some of the things I got rid of I’d had since I was an intern at Seventeen in 2009. That means I’ve moved that makeup/jewelry/clothing to no less than eight apartments. Eight. Also: yes, I move a lot.
I feel light. I feel free. And when I walk into my closet and see only my beautiful capsule, I take a deep breath and say aaaaaaahhhhh. This week’s outfit has been one of my favorites for its simplicity and beauty. My love affair with chambray and white remains strong, and the only thing that makes it better is a bright Lilly accessory.
01| CHAMBRAY SHIRT (40% off!)
I love this outfit with some delicate but beautiful studs, which I pretty much have on rotation 24/7. (They also don’t take up much room in my newly decluttered closet!)
